Magnetism
Project Overview: Learn about how magnetism works and the fundamentals of why it happens. This is generally targeted toward younger elementary audiences, but older students can definitely partake in this easy demonstration!
Materials:
Bar magnet
Paper clips (at least 2)
Time: 2 minutes
Instructions:
Take a bar magnet. Using whichever side, touch one end onto a paper clip.
Raise the bar magnet to see if the paper clip is attracted to the bar magnet.
With the paper clip still attached to the bar magnet, touch another paper clip to the first paper clip.
Continuously create a long strand of paper clips! Try to see how many paper clips you can attach to each other and raise the bar magnet repeatedly to check your progress!
