Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Gabby Aston!
I've always believed that curiosity has the power to change lives.
Growing up, I didn't always see myself as someone who belonged in STEM. It wasn't until I discovered robotics and engineering that I realized intelligence isn't something you're simply born with—it's something you develop by asking questions, solving problems, and refusing to give up. That realization changed the way I saw myself and inspired me to help other girls discover the same confidence.
Today, I'm a high school student, researcher, robotics instructor, and founder of BuildHer. Through my experiences teaching robotics, conducting engineering research, and working with students, I've seen firsthand how powerful STEM education can be when it's accessible, encouraging, and hands-on.
I founded BuildHer with one goal: to help more girls see themselves as future scientists, engineers, innovators, and leaders. Whether it's through tutoring, hands-on STEM projects, educational initiatives like BuildHer Quantum, or sharing the stories of inspiring women in STEM, I hope BuildHer becomes a place where girls feel supported, challenged, and empowered to pursue their passions.
Every great innovation begins with curiosity. My hope is that BuildHer helps spark that curiosity in girls everywhere—and reminds them that they belong in STEM.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
